Fireplace Restoration

Fireplace

Brown Room - Front Guest Bedroom

This is one of the two bedrooms that had a divider wall installed and an extra doorway, without a transom, added to upper hallway. When this was done, the entire fireplace façade, tile, trim and mantle were destroyed. Using the original paint line at the top, height was determined and a new mantle was built to match the other existing original mantels. Similar sized tile was used. A full 4 piece set of coal burning fireplace enclosures was acquired, including the frame, door, vent and coal basket to put the fireplace back to period condition.

White Marble tile of similar size to existing fireplaces was used and placed edge to edge as other originals that have no grout gap between the tiles.
